Borussia Dortmund’s Bundesliga woes continued on Saturday as they suffered a second straight league defeat, this time 2-0 at the hands of RB Leipzig.

The result leaves Dortmund in 11th place in the Bundesliga and means Niko Kovac has now lost four of his first six league games in charge of Borussia Dortmund.

“That’s a disaster – and it doesn’t meet the standards I set myself,” he admitted in an interview with Sky Germany after the game.

Kovac can take some heart from the fact that Borussia Dortmund created a number of big chances. But his players just couldn’t find the back of the net.

“It’s unbelievable. I can’t explain it either. The ball just didn’t go in today. The fact is, we didn’t score the goals and we were unlucky to lose today. We should have scored at least three or four goals,” said the BVB coach.
