Borussia Monchengladbach fans will delight at the news surrounding the return to fitness of winger Franck Honorat.

The Frenchman suffered a hairline fracture in his foot back in January leading to him missing a total of 10 games.

It came as a blow to Die Fohlen at the time as the 28-year-old was in good form prior to the injury with a goal and 4 assists in 9 games.

Slowly making his comeback, Honorat was an unused substitute in Gladbach’s 4-2 win over Werder Bremen last weekend.

However, the winger played 74 minutes in today’s 2-0 friendly win over 3.Liga side Viktoria Köln and looked back to his best

“Of course, I missed it. It’s nice to be back on the pitch and having fun,” Honorat said at full-time.

“Because it’s not always easy not being able to train and play with teammates. The game did me good, but I still lack a bit of stamina,” he added.
