It’s the first match-up in history between Ajax Amsterdam and Eintracht Frankfurt! While the dutch side had to beat belgian side Union Saint-Gilloise in the playoffs (3-2), Frankfurt werde already qualified for the round of 16 due to their final league position in the table (5th rank).
