Barry Ferguson Deserves To Be Rangers' Permanent Manager

June 1st 2018 – ‘Glasgow Rangers have appointed Steven Gerrard to his first senior management position, however the Liverpool icon is certain that his lack of first team managing experience won’t be a problem’.

We accepted that and yet we don’t accept Barry Ferguson because he has only had a shot at managing part timers? Double standards or what! What happened to back the manager the club appoints?

I’ve said since the minute he and his interim team came in that they should all get a chance. We expected to win the league under GVB, but what happened? We expected to win under Michael Beale and what happened? We also expected to win under the guidance of Philippe Clement who had experience and won leagues in Belgium – What happened?

Oh, now we have ex-Rangers Captain who won all sorts with the club for years as a player, knows the club inside out and knows the league. Has got us past Fenerbahçe, who’s managed by a well highly renowned coach and was fully expected to beat us. Then Rangers beat Celtic who has Rodgers as another well renowned coach.

And the verdict is; Barry isn’t good enough, he got beat playing Motherwell because he set the team up wrong. But the supporters said the Rangers players stopped playing for the club, the manager and the fans. The supporters also said the players aren’t good enough, want to leave and are a waste of money. But Barry isn’t good enough because we lost a game with the same said players!

I’ll say it again, Barry deserves his chance. Some fans might want to back him before some foreign manager come in, as for once, we actually just might have the people in place who will actually make a difference given a good summer transfer window.

Disagree all you want, but if the next manger isn’t Barry and we’re out of the league by Christmas, I would love to hear the excuses. But what happens if Barry gets to be Rangers’ permanent manager and we’re out of the league by Christmas? I don’t think it would happen because of the passion on the sidelines by him is second to none and he will fight for every point.

If we compare Barry’s material skills to Gerrard or Beale, someone give me a good argument as to why Barry shouldn’t get the permanent manager’s job.
