According to Sport Bild, Bayern Munich are keen to extend the contract of Paul Wanner, who is currently on loan at Heidenheim, from 2027 to 2029.
Speaking to Laola1, Bayern’s sporting director, Christoph Freund, wouldn’t go into detail about their plans, but he did praise the 19-year-old, who has made huge strides on loan at Elversberg last season and Heidenheim this term.
“We will calmly discuss with Paul what is best for him,” Freund told Laola1.
“Paul has played a lot of games at professional level for his age. He has huge potential.
“The loan spells have been good for him. He’s learning a lot of things at Heidenheim that are very important for his future career.”
Wanner has scored six goals and provided two assists in 35 matches for Heidenheim this season.
