Online portal TEAMtalk has reported that Bayern Munich are keeping tabs on Adam Wharton this summer.
The Crystal Palace midfielder is considered one of England’s brightest talents at just 21 years of age.
Typically playing as a central or defensive midfielder, Wharton could easily rival Joao Palhinha or Leon Goretzka for a starting spot.
However, the clear sticking point would be the price with Palace rumoured to be asking for a fee in excess of €100million.
With Bavarian eyes set firmly on Florian Wirtz, it is highly unlikely they invest big money elsewhere especially with Alexandar Pavlovic and Joshua Kimmich still around.
Wharton’s contract at the London based club runs until 2029, therefore Palace have all the leverage in negotiations.
