Bayern Munich are currently scouting the market for a new centre-back to replace Kim Min-jae. Here are the 3 reported candidates for the Bavarians.

Kim Min-jae has been brought in by the Bayern officials in the summer of 2023 to become the defensive leader of der Rekordmeister. The general opinion within the club is that Kim was not able to fulfill the expectations.
That‘s why Bayern are now considering 3 players to replace the 28-year-old for the upcoming season:
(1) Ronald Araújo (FC Barcelona)
The Uruguayan is not the irreplaceable defender he once was for Barcelona – and Bayern have shown interest in him for many years now: Araújo was the dream centre-back of former Bayern coach Thomas Tuchel.
The Spanish news outlet „Sport“ report that Araújo has a confidential agreement with Barcelona which allows him to leave the club for a rumoured sum of €65 million between July 1st and July 15th.
(2) Dean Huijsen (AFC Bournemouth)
The 20-year-old is one of the most wanted defenders in the world right now! Many Premier League and La Liga clubs have already been in contact with the Spaniard about a future transfer deal.
Bayern are among the favourites for his signature, should they go all in for him. Huijsen has a reported release clause of around €50 million and apparently wants to leave Bournemouth in the summer.
(3) Jonathan Tah (Bayer Leverkusen)
He was already a hot topic in Munich about a year ago – but the Bayern officials decided against signing Tah in the summer. After that, Barcelona seemed to be in pole position to acquire the German‘s services for 2025/26.
Tah‘s contract runs out in June 2025 and he has already talked about leaving Leverkusen and trying out a new challenge in the summer. Since there is still no agreement with any club, Bayern are once again showing interest in the 29-year-old.
