According to WAZ, further measures have been taken to reduce the risk of violence and crowd trouble ahead of Hansa Rostock’s visit to Rot-Weiss Essen.
Having already been slapped with reduced seating for the game, now travelling Rostock fans will not be served beer either.
The decision comes as part of a crackdown on the 3.Liga club’s fans who thrashed Alemannia Aachen’s Tivoli Stadion back in mid-March.
There is also expected to be considerable police presence at the match scheduled for Sunday, April 6 at 7.30pm (CET).
Hansa Rostock’s board have taken each restriction and punishment in their stride as the hope to improve their disciplinary record off the pitch.
