With Matchday 31 of the 2024/25 Bundesliga season in the books, Bulinews.com Editor-in-Chief Rune Gjerulff has picked his Team of the Week, this time lining up in a 4-1-3-2 formation:

Goalkeeper

Frederik Rønnow, Union Berlin

Made a stunning reflex save in injury time to help Union Berlin secure a point against Bochum. The Danish goalkeeper saved a penalty earlier in the match, but unfortunately for him, the rebound fell right to Matus Bero, who scored.

Defenders

Konrad Laimer, Bayern Munich

Put in a strong performance for Bayern, completing 97% of his passes, winning six duels, and providing an assist.

Patrick Mainka, Heidenheim

The Heidenheim captain played a crucial role in his side’s 1-0 win over Stuttgart, winning all seven of his duels and making eight clearances.

Robin Koch, Eintracht Frankfurt

Delivered a rock-solid defensive performance and even scored in Eintracht’s impressive 4-0 victory over RB Leipzig.

Daniel Svensson, Borussia Dortmund

The Swede made a significant impact by setting up two goals in Dortmund’s 3-2 victory over Hoffenheim.

Midfielders

Matus Bero, Bochum

Had a commanding presence in midfield for Bochum, completing 83% of his passes and winning eight out of 10 ground duels. He also scored his side’s only goal, tapping in the rebound after missing a penalty.

Michael Olise, Bayern Munich

Was uncontainable for Mainz’s defense, scoring and assisting in Bayern’s 3-0 win.

Julian Brandt, Borussia Dortmund

Stepped up when Dortmund needed him most, providing three key passes and scoring a stunning volley in their dramatic win over Hoffenheim.

Ansgar Knauff, Eintracht Frankfurt

Bagged an impressive brace in Frankfurt’s comfortable win over RB Leipzig.

Strikers

Hugo Ekitike, Eintracht Frankfurt

Capped a fine performance with a goal and an assist as Eintracht defeated RB Leipzig.

Shuto Machino, Holstein Kiel

Scored a vital injury-time winner to secure Kiel’s 4-3 victory over Gladbach, having earlier put his team ahead.
