Daniel Svensson is getting closer to returning from the knee injury he suffered against Lille earlier this month.
According to Sky Germany, Svensson has begun running training and, if all goes to plan, could be back in the squad for the game against Mainz after the international break.
The left-back has been given plenty of game time after joining the Black and Yellows on loan from Danish side FC Nordsjælland during the winter transfer window.
Another winter signing, Carney Chukwuemeka, has also taken a step forward in terms of fitness.
According to Sky Germany, the Chelsea loanee is fit enough to start for the first time since arriving in Germany.
Felix Nmecha and Marcel Sabitzer, meanwhile, remain on the sidelines.
