After it was reported earlier today that Dayot Upamecano will miss several weeks through injury, a French news source has underlined Bayern’s worst fears.
Le Parisien believe the best-case scenario for the centre-half is a return to the pitch in the first half of May.
If so, the Bavarian giants will be without their stand-out defender for their Champions League quarter-final tie with Inter Milan.
Upamecano could even be sidelined for the semi-final, should Bayern advance to meet the winners of Borussia Dortmund and Barcelona.
The news will come as great concern to Vincent Kompany and Bayern fans alike, especially now that teammate Alphonso Davies has been ruled out for months.
