When Bayern Munich’s women’s team took on Hoffenheim in the semi-finals of the DFB-Pokal on Saturday, none of the club bosses were in attendance.
That left Bayern and Germany defender Giulia Gwinn disappointed.
“It’s a bit of a shame,” Gwinn, who missed the game through injury, told Sky Germany at half-time.
“I think it’s one of the biggest games if you look at all the competitions. We’re doing really well in the league, and a cup semi-final is something where you hope for some presence.
“It’s very, very regrettable. I hope they at least watch it on TV. I hope we go through and that they will be there in Köln (for the final),” she added.
Bayern won the match 3-2 and will play the winner of the other semi-final between Hamburger SV and Werder Bremen in Cologne on 1 May.
