Could this transfer be hinting towards a decision in the discussions around star player Florian Wirtz? Leverkusen are the favourites to sign a promising 2. Bundesliga talent.
As “Kicker” and “BILD” have already reported, Hertha’s Ibrahim Maza is on his way out of the club and most likely heading to the Bundesliga – Leverkusen are now the reported favourites to get him!
The 19-year-old has been highly rated by many Bundesliga clubs and just a few weeks ago, Stuttgart were seemingly in the best position to secure his services for their club.
New reports now see Leverkusen in “pole position” for Maza’s signature! With 10 goal involvements in 29 games, he is ready to take the next step and prove himself in one of Europe’s top leagues.
The talented Algerian could be built up to become the successor of star player Florian Wirtz, who’s being heavily linked with a move to rivals Bayern Munich. However, if Wirtz decides to leave Leverkusen this summer, Maza would most likely not be the only attacking midfielder Leverkusen will sign for the 2025/26 season.
Maza, who prefers a move to another German team instead of the likes of Manchester City and Atlético Madrid, which reportedly also showed interest in him, will be a fantastic addition to any Bundesliga team – let’s wait and see, if he will be playing in red and black next year or if there’ll be another twist in the transfer-saga around him.
