Sky Sports Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg has clarified that Manchester United are still interested in Xavi Simons.
The Premier League club have never lost focus on the Dutch talent and want a versatile attacking midfielder in addition to a striker.
However, one issue stands in the way – Xavi Simons is very expensive.
While a move isn’t off the cards, his current employers RB Leipzig are demanding a fee of €80million for his services.
Manchester United have also been monitoring other players from the Bundesliga including Benjamin Sesko and Hugo Ekitike.
