Having recently been dismissed by RB Leipzig, Marco Rose is now being linked with the head coaching job at VfL Wolfsburg.

According to Sport Bild, the 48-year-old is high on Wolfsburg’s shortlist and is seen as the ideal candidate to replace Ralph Hasenhüttl.

Hasenhüttl’s future at the club is increasingly uncertain, with a departure expected this summer – or potentially even earlier.

A number of other names have also been linked with the Wolfsburg job, including Thomas Frank (Brentford), Alexander Blessin (FC St. Pauli), Jacob Neestrup (FC Copenhagen), Lukas Kwasniok (set to leave Paderborn at the end of the season), and free agent Bo Svensson (most recently at Union Berlin).

Wolfsburg currently sit 12th in the Bundesliga ahead of this week’s clash with Mainz, having lost their last four league matches.
