Without any inside knowledge and just to share my opinion for fun, I think after watching the Liverpool FC squad management the past few years, I can’t foresee any massive overhall in different positions disrupting the entire spine of the team this summer. I truly believe the big 3 contract situations will all be signed and we won’t have to worry about replacing them, at least not this summer in the case of Salah and Van Dijk.
And I know most would say we require a centre mid to swap with Gravenberch, but I can’t see us bringing anyone in like Wharton or Gomes who would cost a fortune just to warm the bench for him while Endo has shown he can be trusted to see out games to give him a rest and we also have good young players in Nyoni and McConnell who will also need game time to grow.
Meanwhile, I’m also not listening to the noise and think Left back wise, Robertson is on too good a contract to just sit on the bench. He’s a leader in the dressing room and will play the majority of games while Tsimikas is an able deputy given match sharpness.
That being said, i do think we will want to make changes to the attack. Delap to replace Nunez – Delap is likely to be relegated with Ipswich and be available at a cheaper price than most of the strikers around this summer and is homegrown. Anyone thinking Isak is possible is in dream land.
Anthony Gordon to replace Diaz – Diaz hasn’t shown the potential he once did, now going into his final year, I would see him being moved on. I believe Gordon is very keen on the move and I think Newcastle will sell him if it means they can keep Isak from leaving, but also allowing them to strengthen other areas when they have Barnes to play at LW.

In – Delap, Gordon,
Out – Nunez, Diaz, Kelleher
Now I think if it was up to Arne Slot, we would see a lot more players come and go, but I don’t see the club’s hierarchy allowing him such power after one season, even if he wins the Premier League.
Sometimes new isn’t always better, I think we are more likely to fight on all fronts next season if we keep the experience and unity of the current squad. I might eat my words but we’ll see.
