Should I Stay or should I go? That’s the question Leroy Sané is currently asking himself. The 29-year-old’s current contract at Bayern Munich is running until June 2025, an extension however has been questioned for a long time.

Many FC Bayern officials were not content with Sané’s fluctuating perfomances over the last few seasons – Bayern’s sporting director Max Eberl however, is a huge fan of the winger and Sané is also very popular in the dressing room.

Sky Germany now report that Bayern are offering Sané a contract until June 2028, including a fixed salary of around €10 million gross per year with additional performance-based payments, bringing the total package up to around €14-16 million gross per year.

Sané currently earns about €20 million which means his new contract would come with a huge salary cut – but Sané has often stated his desire to stay in Munich. All parties are now working on reaching an agreement.

Bayern have already extended the contracts of Manuel Neuer, Alphonso Davies, Jamal Musiala and Joshua Kimmich, but denied club legend Thomas Müller a new contract. Leroy Sané looks likely to join his other teammates in continuing in Munich.
