The 21-year-old put pen to paper on a contract that runs until 2027, but that doesn’t mean his long-term future lies with Die Roten Bullen.
Reports have suggested that Simons could move on in the summer – and for that to happen, RB Leipzig would demand €80 million, according to Sky Germany.
Meanwhile, Spanish newspaper Sport reported a few weeks ago that Leipzig are demanding as much as €100 million for the Netherlands international.
Whether Simons stays or leaves will likely depend largely on whether Leipzig qualify for the Champions League.
