Nick Woltemade has emerged as a key player for VfB Stuttgart since joining the club on a free transfer from Werder Bremen last summer.

This is reflected in the fee it would take to make Stuttgart consider sellling the striker, who has reportedly attracted interest from Bayern Munich.

According to Bild, Stuttgart are only willing to listen to offers starting at €40 million for the Germany Under-21 international.

If he were to be sold for such a fee, he would become the club’s record sale ahead of Benjamin Pavard, who was sold to Bayern for €35 million in the summer of 2019.

The big question, however, is whether Woltemade himself would be willing to leave Stuttgart at this stage.

According to Bild, the striker is not considering a move at the moment, even if he could significantly increase his current annual wages of €1.5 million elsewhere.

Woltemade’s contract with Stuttgart runs until 2028.
