Relegation threatened SSV Ulm sack head coach Worle

Die Spatzen made the decision to terminate the 43-year-old’s contract as the club nears relegation.

SSV Ulm have parted ways with head coach Thomas Worle this afternoon, Sky Germany understands.

With the club currently in 19th place with 19 points after 25 games in the 2.Bundesliga, the decision was finally made.

Worle took over in 2021 and took Ulm from the Regionalliga and 3.Liga to the German second division. 

It is believed that U19 team boss Robert Lechleiter will take over until the end of the campaign.

The club from Baden-Wurttemberg are 4 points from the safety of 15th place which would ensure survival.
