VfL Wolfsburg will be without Lovro Majer for the remainder of the 2024/25 campaign.

The Croatia international has been out since October with an ankle injury that will keep him out for the rest of the season.

“Unfortunately, it doesn’t look good for Lovro Majer,” Wolfsburg coach Ralph Hasenhüttl told AZ/WAZ.

“The operation on his ankle was very serious. It’s unlikely that he’ll be able to play the rest of the matches. Things are going very slowly with him.”

Majer, who joined Wolfsburg from Stade Rennes in 2023 for a reported fee of €25 million, has made just six appearances this season.
