A draw in London against a team with more than double the squad value (according to Transfermarkt) – seems like a great result for Frankfurt!
Sporting director Markus Krösche, who is being eyed up by many European top clubs, had some praising words for his side and especially goalkeeper Kauã Santos after the game:

- (About the game) We had a great start to the game thanks to Hugo [Ekitiké], but a difficult time after that. We got quite lucky in the 2nd half, Tottenham put us under big pressure but we managed to get through tonight.
- (About Frankfurt’s young team) Tottenham has a great squad and our team has to learn a lot in these kind of games and in these kind of stadiums. The result is perfectly fine and a learning experience for all involved.
- (About Frankfurt’s goalkeeper Kauã Santos) He obviously had a great game tonight and you need a good goalkeeper to get through games like these.
- (About the return leg in Frankfurt) Today we wanted to get a good result to get us into the best possible position for next week. The plan is simple: we have to win at home and that’s what we’re planning to do now.
